PROPOSED CIRCUIT CHANGES TO PUKEKOHE ABANDONED?

A little over two months ago a rumour surfaced regarding the re-modelling of the Pukekohe circuit - in particular the series of corners leading onto the front straight.
At the time, discussion centered around reducing speeds approaching Pukekohe's most challenging corner, the entrance to the front straight (often referred to as 'the hill' by many competitors).
It now appears as though that decision has been reversed.
The proposed changes were likely to have adversely affected the the close finishes that Pukekohe provides Formula First (and other classes) and that would have been a great shame. Had those changes gone ahead, Pukekohe would have lost much of its character.
The changes had originally been scheduled to take place mid October.
Formula First will be racing at Pukekohe on 2/3 December at what will be round 3 of the national championship.
