Caine Lobb has announced that he has opted to step out of Formula First to concentrate on his Formula Ford efforts.

Lobb, currently fourth in the Formula First National Championship points chase, has been running in both Formula First and Formula Ford so far this season, with successes in both classes.

Recently Caine's Formula Ford committments have been such that it has become impractical to run both classes - culminating in Caine's decision. Manager Brian Craig sent the following letter to us for publication;

"Caine is moving on and would like to thank everyone for the great racing over the last couple of years. Formula First is a great stepping stone and I hope Caine will find the time to come and have a run with you all from time to time. Caine will be spending his time concentrating on Formula Ford. The camaraderie was appreciated."

Caine added;

"I would like to thank everyone for the close racing and especially the older guys for teaching me so much, thank you all and good luck with the series. Special thanks to Alistair for being such an awesome friend and mechanic, and Dennis and the Sabre crew for all their help."

On behalf of everyone at Formula First Caine, we wish you the best of luck.
