This weekend sees the 37th running of Formula First’s 1 Hour Endurance Race, to be held this weekend at Manfeild Motorsport Park. Record entries have been boasted by a substantial prize pool put up by Safety Step NZ, adding prestige to an already premier event.
The Safety Step One Hour sees a majority of the regular drivers returning to compete, with some new drivers attracted to the event as well. Professional Race Driver, Jono Lester, has confirmed he will be racing his Grandfathers old Championship winning car with his Father Richard and Grandfather Rob Lester doing the crewing for him.
Other ‘Duel Drives’ include the current 3NZ pairing with Ron Carter. 2NZ Cory Holmes will also attempt a driver swap, with the Club President, Ian Foster and his machine during the historic event.
Be sure to head to Manfeild Motorsport Park this Saturday to be apart of the action live. Otherwise, check out facebook.com/NZFormulaFirst for the latest updates.
